Research Scientist / Post Doc – Drug Development

  • Postdoc
  • Developing therapeutics to promote neurogenesis for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases
Lab Website:

Cambridge, MA, USA

Our mission is to improve the lives of millions suffering from neurodegeneration. We have discovered a novel signaling pathway that regulates adult hippocampal neurogenesis, and in preliminary data we have shown that modulation of our target pathway leads to an increase in neurogenesis and improves performance on hippocampal-dependent memory task. We are pursuing multiple modalities for targeting this pathway, including antisense oligonucleotides, monoclonal antibodies, and small molecules. We are seeking a thoughtful researcher who will integrate into our fast-moving research team and will enjoy being part of the Cambridge startup ecosystem.

As a startup, things are always moving and priorities can change, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. The position initially will involve molecular biology (e.g., qPCR), mammalian cell culture, and in vitro models of disease, including iPSCs.

Qualifications/Preferred Skillsets:

- PhD, postdoc preferred
- Strong experience with iPSCs and general experience in bioassays
- Must be able to work independently and productively within a dynamic, shared research facility
- Must be meticulous and detail-oriented
- Must be highly organized and work well in a team
