The Research Technician will be responsible for carrying out experiments that focus on the interactions between neurons and immune cells in the context of cancer.
These studies will involve both neuroscience and immunology methodologies. Handling of mice is required. This person may also assist in the maintenance of relevant mouse strains. Bachelor’s degree plus some professional level experience with primary cell culture, co-culture, or flow cytometry is desirable. Occasional weekend work may be necessary. The candidate will play a major role in the collaboration. Individuals looking for a multidisciplinary research experience and the opportunity to work with a fair amount of independence and responsibility will find this position rewarding.

Qualifications/Preferred Skillsets:

Bachelor's Degree in immunology, neuroscience, biology, or other related fields. Knowledge of mathematical and chemical principles is essential. Experience with murine models, cell culture, or flow cytometry would be preferred. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted.
