Postdoc position open to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects investigating mechanisms of lipid and protein transport through the mycobacterial cell envelope. Opportunities for methods development and application in proximity labeling, lipid profiling, etc.
-Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in biology, biochemistry or related field with working experience in biochemical analysis and molecular and microbiological cell techniques. Ph.D. training to include bench laboratory experience in an academic setting. Experience in conducting research projects in microbiology or biochemistry. One (1) or more first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal in a biomedical or basic biochemistry field.
Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, especially metabolomics or lipidomics. Working experience with flow cytometry and analysis. Fluorescence microscopy and image analysis experience. Experience with lipid analytical chemistry such as extraction, thin-layer chromatography, radiometric analysis techniques. Experience working in a biosafety level 3 laboratory
