Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

  • Postdoc
  • Ion-channel structure–function relationships

Urbana, Illinois, USA

Our lab aims to understand the relationship between structure and function in ion channels. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual with expertise in membrane-protein structural biology (cryo-EM) who is interested in elucidating mechanisms of eukaryotic ion-channel behavior through the combination of atomic models, molecular simulations, and functional data.

The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of structure determination—from membrane-protein purification to atomic-model building—using single-particle cryo-EM data.

Qualifications/Preferred Skillsets:

• PhD degree in a relevant field
• Experience in eukaryotic membrane-protein structural biology
